IWWF has received a bid and Performance Guarantee from the Chilean Waterski & Wakeboard Federation, to host the 2022 IWWF World Under-17 Waterski Championships at Lago los Morros (Miranda's Ski School) in January 2023 (actual date TBC).

As there is an Executive Board Postal Ballot going on where I'm also voting, please give me your opinion.

Christophe Duverger comments: JANUARY for U17 is a not a good choice....the kids in Europe are in school and it is winter time....i would like to see this competition organized in the middle of the year....
we have done it before and it is too much of a sacrifice for most of the kids...for open or U21 i can maybe understand but for kids.....please think about it ....
plus the U17worlds  will take place in Florida.... in 2021....i would like to see it organized in Europe or Asia....

Glen Williams comments: Sorry Christophe but for the Southern Hemisphere August is not a good time for worlds , the kids are at school and it is hard to train as it is winter . 

It is good that we have a organiser at a great venue with a proven record of great events willing to do this event .

Christophe Duverger comments: hello Glen, i respect your point of view and i agree it is the same for your kids in august.... but maybe we could find a solution to gather people in the middle, no?
of course the Miranda\'s site is great... and no questions about it, it skis great and the Miranda\'s family knows how to organize championships....but before we say \"yes\" could we challenge the proposal a bit..?

Candido Moz comments: Hi all, the decision will be taken by the Executive Board on November 4th.
Apart from the site approval, which belong to us, I have 1 vote out of 23 votes.
Up to now Chile is the only bid, and we have to vote on it.

Jacinta Carroll comments: The previous worlds were spain and the upcoming ones in America. It\'s only fare the next one is in the southen hemisphere to allow equality for school commitments and training conditions. Yes it\'s tough when its winter but the southern hemisphere kids have to do it often as well.
