We have almost make equal the rules for all World Championships there are still one big difference:

Open:
The skiers will then be divided into groups and the start list will be made using reverse order of the ranking list scores. The group size will normally be 10 men and 10 women but may be changed before the start of the championships by the Chief Judge. (however see Rule (10.01) for jumping order). It is recommended that Series 1 and 2 for women and Series 1, 2 and 3 for men be scheduled so that these skiers will have similar conditions.

All other Divisions:
The best scores (entry scores) either submitted or from the ranking list will be used for seeding purposes.
Once the seeding has been done from the entry scores, the skiers will be divided into groups as above, but the start order is drawn randomly within each series.
The Event Judges may reverse or change the starting order of these groups according to the prevailing conditions.

Bob Corson comments: Just to note that the reference to the ranking list in the open is actually a specially calculated list based on two years with a 25% penalty to the older list.  This might be somewhat more complicated in age (35+) division competition as skiers may change divisions and not be on the 2 year old list.  I am also assuming that  the proposal is to standardize on the system currently used for Open.

Bruce Cockburn comments: We had Under 17 and Over 35 World the same as open a few years ago and we changed to current method because people thought it was not good for Under 17 especialy I do nor support changing back

Christophe Duverger comments: this system works right now for open division....let\'s leave it the same....for the other categories i don\'t see a problem doing the same thing....if it helps making the rules easier to understand for everybody...let\'s standardize while we are in the process of changing a lot of things...

Jacinta Carroll comments: From skiers perspective, being number 1 in the world gives you the advantage of knowing the score you need to be last off the dock for finals. I think if your number 1 in the world this is the deserving place for you to be - last off the dock in prelims so you know what you have to ski to be last off dock in finals.
I am fine for it to be brought in for juniors and over 35s to keep it simple

Manon Costard comments: The rule as it is for Open skiers works great. I think it is fair for everyone to be seeded as they are on the World Ranking list and therefore have the advantage of knowing what score makes it in the finals as they are ranked higher on the World Ranking. 
I do not see what would be the problem of having the same rule for the other categories and think the rules should be as standardised and simple as possible. I therefore vote yes. 
(What were the reasons for changing the rule for the U17 and +35 to random seeding within the series?)

Bruce Cockburn comments: I think it is worth pointing out to the council that under our rule 1.04
it requires a 2/3 Majority to change any rule on this forum that is 8 yes votes
so in effect if you do not vote you are voting no to the proposal
I have orginally voted No because I do not like changing rules back after they have been changed 
but I actually approve of seeding all World Championships

so I am changing my vote to yes
