Bob Corson comments: Per our decision I established a nw survey and sent the following letter out to the 200 skiers who answered the first one:
Dear Slalom Skier,
You are receiving this email because you responded to the initial slalom survey of 35+ skiers asking about the maximum slalom speed for your division.  The IWWF Waterski Council is continuing to study this issue and is now sending out another survey.
The Council is studying a new option regarding division maximum speed.
The new option called selectable maximum would allow the skier to select a speed at less than the division maximum to shorten the rope with a 6 buoy penalty for each speed reduction.
                Example:
                Division max speed 55 kmph - start speed 49 kmph
                max speed 55    3@16m  score 21 buoys
                max speed 52    3@16m  score 15 buoys
                max speed 49    3@16m  score 9 buoys
                
                At any time the skier may go up in speed but must complete a full pass at that speed to remove the 6 point reduction.  The skier may go up in speed without changing the line length.
                
                Please answer the questions appropriate to your age division and the next division in the survey

Gill Hill comments: I note you have moved your meeting in Malaysia to the Monday after the Tournament is over.  I will get in touch with the organiser and revise the dates for arrival and departure to allow time for this meeting.  I will keep in touch over the new arrangements.
