Corey Vaughn comments: Manon also broke the European slalom record. Also, among the women slalom skiers, she is the only one treating water skiing as a true profession. She clearly made 2018 her year.  Manon would easily be my choice for for skier of the year. 

Jacinta Carrol\'s name should come into the conversation as well. She is a true professional and certainly won every event she entered.  She has made every year her year for the past 5 or so years now.

Ryan Dodd comments: Female  of the year is a tough choice.. It’s betwen Jacinta and Manon and Regina.  Manon for sure had a breakout year and is fully committed as a pro athlete which is great to see. She has moved up and improved the fastest and if she keeps this pace up will be in contention for the world record and world titile this year. 
Jacinta is the definition of success winning every event for years consecutively. That’s hard to compete with. 
Regina is also an astounding athlete and business women running a pharmacy and competing in overall as well as breaking the new slalom record. 
All are amazing athletes.

Manon won alot however is only 3rd on IWWF ranking. Regina broke a world record yet did not dominate event wins.
Myself equalled the world record twice and won every event. Erika broke a world record but did not win many events.
I don\'t believe you can take professionalism into the vote. Just because Regina and myself work FULL TIME doesnt mean we don\'t commit to the sport. Women have barely any events we can\'t not work unless we are rich some how 😑
Men\'s... well I\'d have to say Ryan.
Obviously I do not get a vote. But there is al9t of things to consider in how you want to define and determine \"skier of the year\"

Glen Williams comments: Good discussion , tough decision as so subjective . 
I’m thinking Ryan for male , his domination of the major jump tournaments and no 1 ranking get him my vote , with special mention of Adam for improving world overall record as I appreciate how hard it is to ski 3 events at such a high level .
Female I see as been between Jacinta and Regina , Regina always strong in overall also increasing her world slalom record . However Jacinta’s domination of women’s jump gets her ahead in my opinion . It’s rare in any sport for a winning streak as long as Jacinta’s .

Bob Corson comments: OK, For Men we only have Ryan Dodd so he is the Male Water Skier.
For Female we have Manon, Regina, and Jacinta.
I will put up 3 topics, one for each.  Vote only for the one you choose - do not  do anything on the others.  There are 11 votes.  If one skier gets 6 then we are done.  If no one gets 6 then we will have a run off between the top 2.  If the split is 5-3-3 then the athlete with 5 will win.

Please everyone vote so we do not get some funny split.

Jacinta - 2

As I said in the initial message if we have a tie or fewer than 6 for one skier, we will have a run-off.
I will set up two re-vote topics.  Please vote as we must turn this in tomorrow.
