Larry examined the current jump formula for the 35+ divisions and determined that for some divisions the points per meter based on the range of distances in that divisions gave an incorrect weighting to the jump event.  He suggested different offsets for each division.  I did a spreadsheet analysis and based on the concept of trying to be in the 20-30 point per meter range if possible, I suggested some changes to the women's divisions.  Candido, Larry, and Bruce agreed to these modifications and asked that we vote on it.
If we conclude the vote before September 26th, it will be more than 60 days until the tournament and it could be used there.  A counter argument to that would be that teams were selected on the current overall calculation and the new calculation would have affected their selection choice.

Can you please provide an example...e.g. the score difference from overall last worlds to what it would be with the new calculation.

Larry Gisler comments: Hello, any meter in overall points, use to be between 25 and 35 overall points in any division in a world championship . with the existing rule the number of  overall point, per meters, are really different ,  and change a lot between divisions with the new purpose we try to give the same number of points per meter ,per division
