I have received concerns about the 65+ entries.
There are two basic issues.  
1. Since the 65+ skiers are not part of the team score, they will not get priority in being selected by the Federation
2. Since we have released the 2016 rules in the spring, there is little time to record scores to make the ranking list that closes May 1.

For the last World 35+, we allowed each Federation 15 - 65+ entries separate from the team.
The proposed remedy would be to allow some number of wild cards specifically for the 65+ entries.

Jeffry Armstrong comments: This group was a big hit at the last one.  I talked to one of the women that had gone and true enough.....she was so relieved that she already had scores and didn\'t have to chase these last few weeks.  I think this is a valid point and agree.  If the organizer is in agreement, I would like to add the wild cards to have these participate.  I look forward to hearing other ideas from members.

Peter Person comments: I agree this would be helpful for potential entries and for the organizer. I think that offering 15 might be a bit high. We may have chosen that number in 2014 because of a high level of interest expected from the USA.

Bob Corson comments: I did an analysis of the 2014 35+ event in the 65+.  For Men slalom, the biggest event, there were 14 Wild Cards used with the US using 4.  However, the more likely use is that skiers were qualified (by list or team selection) in another event and used the Wild Card to ski in another event that they did not have a qualifying score.
I think that if we had a similar entry in the 65+ (27 men, 9 women) for 2016, it would be successful.  I would recommend 5 Wild Cards per Federation for the 65+ since there is a list entry possibility which there was not in 2014.
