The following section is where free form comments are added, and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS - Must provide any variations (examples below): • Rules: Class E AWSA Rules. Class L/R IWWF Rules. • Course alterations: The North/South (Main) and Turnpike Lakes were homologated. All dimensions and buoy colors in spec. No alterations. • Malfunction of equipment: The only failure was one of the gate cameras had a malfunction. The housing was mounted upside down, as was the camera. The two front screws holding the camera to the housing were loose and the camera drooped down. The problem was fixed. • BPMS: Sure-Path • Boat/Speed Control: Zero Off. Two current year boats used. One line only available to enter boat software version for Zero Off. All boats were version S. Entered the SW number for a Ski Nautique that was used (E1886100S). (Becky Lathrop's Nautique S/N 002549) • Other: wind was over 10mph with gusts straight down both lakes when surveyed by land (5/15). Buoys were moving quite a bit. These lakes are both cross course cable type for slalom. SurePath survey was completed on Friday (5/19)early morning before any wind. Both land and SurePath surveys in spec - both lakes. Both courses visually straight and looked good to the driver (Becky Lathrop) who assisted with the SurePath survey. Grass along the banks was causing the cables to be out of alignment/tolerance on Turnpike Lake. First survey for Turnpike had some buoys out of tolerance. I lifed the cable at each row of buoys on each side of the lake to clear the grass and was able to get the lines fairly straight between the pipes. All buoys then surveyed in tolerance. All buoys were Wally Skier. My total station wouldn't read PG1-PG4 due to distance and sun glare. No one there to put the buoy hat with prism on. They were surveyed/mapped with Sure-Path. The gate cameras were also be surveyed with Sure-Path. Cameras weren't up at time of land survey. Ropes used were Masterline. Standard, Optimized, mid-weight, and light weight ropes were measured and available. All in good tolerance. Handle checker device on dock for both lakes. Dock starter assigned to measure handles when boat returned to dock after each skier complete. Towers - on the Main Lake the existing mid course tower on the East side was used. Chip Shands program for gate review was used. There were 2 judges on the tower. One judge for gates only and one judge for buoys and gates. On the West (levee) side the existing tower on the levee, located adjacent to 5 ball. Was used. Technically within the rules, but not optimal to clearly see the buoys at the other end of the course. There is a plan to build a new tower mid course for Nationals. The judge on the levee tower called buoys only. No electronics on that tower. On the Turnpike Lake, the existing mid course tower on the levee was used. The computer with Chip's gate program was on that tower. There were 2 judges on this tower - one for gates and buoys, the other for gates only. An exception was required for the judge on the other side of the lake. The club had petitioned the County to allow building a tower on that side or use scaffold. No decision from the county. The position of the judge was not at the specified height, but was mid course and there was a clear view of the course. One judge on that tower to call buoys only. There were no Class R skier entered. Boat video was not used. LOC chose to not setup end course cameras as backup. In the event there were any problems with Sure-Path, cameras and monitors were ready to setup. Sure-Path has been very reliable at this site. It's used daily in multiple boats. The two lakes homologated were used simultaneously at times. There were some learning issues with WSTIMS but in general things went good.
