The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS Give details of any variations of IWSF rules. List any alterations to the course, etc. during the competition. List any malfunction of equipment. Give any further information which might affect the Tournament Council's assement of the homologation. No variations from the rules except the entrance to trick course from one direction was narrowed about 1 meter for safety concerns (it was felt that the buoy was too close to shore). Remarks from Thursday: 1. Wireless from the boat was used for the trick event. One technical issue occured - channel setting dip switches on one of the the transmitters were inverted, so signal from the Malibu was not received. Caused about a ten to fifteen minute delay. Problem promptly diagnosed and corrected after getting to the boat. The skier's passes were replayed to the judges from the boat. 2. This was the first time using wireless for most of the crew. Communications between the judges and the boats regarding visible picture (all boats used the same channel so boats had to plug and unplug power for each skier) caused some delay. These procedural problems contributed significantly to the slowness of the event and it was decided at the post-day judges' meeting to revert back to five tower judges for "E" class skiers on Saturday and forgo wireless altogether. Remarks from Friday: 1. Slalom - The new Bubble Buoys were used for turn balls. One of the buoys was hit hard enough that it burped out some of the air, causing a small delay until the buoy could be reinflated. 2. A bad BNC connector at the camera caused three delays in the jump event. The entire cable was replaced after the third occurance. 3. Someone unplugged the extension cord that powers the jump cameras, causing a delay of about 5 minutes. Remarks from Saturday: 1. Coupling to video switch at judges' tower disconnected. It was repaired without delay to the tournament. Remarks from Sunday: 1. Just before the jump event was to begin, the jump camera cabling was switched between the two cameras because of degraded signal coming from the camera we thought would not be used as much during the day's event. Then we experienced complete loss of signal from a camera, which was fixed by adjusting the strain at the camera-to-coupling connection. These fixes caused about a 20 minute delay to the beginning of the jump event. Otherwise, everything ran smoothly.
